Patti Spadaro's deliciously fluid guitar leads cry, sing, and wail with an Eric Clapton meets Jerry Garcia style. The Patti Spadaro Band combines bluesy, jammy rock with organic grooves, good vibes, heartfelt vocals and songs that reach deep.
"Its all about the music and making a connection", says Patti, "bringing people together, letting loose, and being in the here and now". The band's live shows create a space where the music opens up into something huge... the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The music cuts through the everday and connects right to the core.

Something different... yogic chanting. Patti performs with Ven and Veena Kelly. The human voice is a natural and powerful tool for centering and creating balance. One of the oldest music traditions of the world, kirtan call-and-response chanting comes to us from India. Using Sanskrit mantras, kirtan helps quiet the mind, remove obstacles, and transform heavy feelings such as stress to a feeling of lightness and peace. Music, breath, and chanting together in a group helps us align with higher vibrations, connecting us to each other and to higher energy. Kirtan can be meditative, uplifting the spirit and connecting us to the center of our being. No experience necessary. Bring a snack to share if you like. http://www.SriYantraYoga.com

Something completely different - yoga chanting. Patti Spadaro joins Ven and Veena Kelly. One of the oldest music traditions of the world, kirtan call-and-response chanting comes to us from India. Using Sanskrit mantras, kirtan calls upon energies which serve to quiet the mind, remove obstacles, lift the spirits and bring us back to the center of our being. Something about the kirtan experience goes beyond the music itself to a deeper experience of vibration. We all resonate at different frequencies, and these frequencies change according to what we are doing and thinking. So when we are all doing the same thing-chanting, breathing, and moving to the same rhythms - our vibrations begin to synchronize and the resulting experience is very powerful. The laws of vibration help us out here, because vibrations align themselves to stronger vibrations, so even if you're having a not-so-great day, it may be difficult to hold onto those feelings. Something happens - the energy begins to activate the spirit that exists within us all. Light snacks afterward. www.sriyantrayoga.com

The Patti Spadaro Band is psyched to have the honor of opening for Melvin Seals and JGB. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and helped pioneer and define what has now become jam band music. From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up. Melvin and JGB brings an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. With acoustic and electric ingredients and unique combinations of guitar, mandolin, slide and lap steel with savory bass, hearty drums and, a heapin' helpin' of the wizard's magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards, the result is a most satisfying blend of natural organic grooves that challenges genre boundaries. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. They offer an exciting, psychedelic musical journey that keeps audiences dancing and smiling (and some staring in amazement) for several hours. Melvin is pioneering a path deeper into the musical territory he helped to establish. Come and discover why Jerry nicknamed Melvin "Master of the Universe". Tickets $18 adv, $20 door.
